About the Shadow Program

Thank you for your interest in this unique internship opportunity. This program is designed for dog trainers, aspiring dog trainers, dog handlers, pet enthusiasts, those looking into opening a dog training business and more!

During the internship program you will learn all different aspects of dog training and how our business is ran. All internships are customized to what you would like to learn.

Here are some of the things you can learn!

• Learning theory (operant and classical conditioning)

• Proper use of training tools (E-collars, Prongs, Slip leads, etc.)

• Service dog training (Tasks, Public Access, Service dog obedience and more)

• MaKayla’s Puppy Raising Protocol & Puppy selection

• Behavior modification (reactivity, aggression, fearfulness, etc.)

• Business structure

• Sit in on In-person lessons, Online lessons, and Group classes

• AND MORE

During the program you are allowed to bring one dog to work with. MaKayla will work one on one with you though your entire internship. She will also work with you exclusively 2 times a day with the dog you bring. During that time you can work on any of the concepts you have learned or work on something you may be struggling with. If you don’t have a dog you can borrow one of our in house dogs!

Internships are ran Monday-Friday (weekends may be available upon request)
Interns arrive at 9am and leave by 5:30pm (unless there is group class)

Price

$250 per day
$2000.00 for 2 weeks
